The Menopause is the time that marks the end of your menstrual cycle due to a lowered level of hormones in the body, typically around the ages of 45-55. This shift can be scaring, daunting and uncomfortable for most going through it, but here at Jersey Beauty we want to celebrate this time & help where we can.
Starting with the Peri Menopause - usually starting around the mid-40's and lasting for up to 3-4 years before the Menopause process fully starts. During the perimenopause your period become irregular, hot flushes start, skin can become red maybe even appearing as Rosacea & breakouts/adult acne can develop.
The body still has oestrogen present however during this time the levels of this hormone decreases gradually over time. Sometimes wrinkles may seem to appear overnight, or hot flushes start one day - but generally speaking, without the use of a course of hormonal therapy, the shift will happen gradually.
