Vitamin C helps your skin replace old, dead skin cells with new fresh ones to make skin look bright and youthful - but it’s not the only ingredient at work in Viola’s Vitamin C Serum. This formula is a powerful combination of some of the best age smart ingredients known to science.
75% of your skin is comprised of water and collagen. Over time, skin is exposed to harsh UVA and UVB radiation, resulting in age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. As you age, your body produces less and less collagen, further leading to the formulations of wrinkles and fine lines.
Most products targeted to treat ageing skin use fragments of hydrolyzed collagen containing molecules too large for the skin with conventional formulas. Viola Skin is able to penetrate the skin’s outer layer and boost collagen formation, it also contains a set of active ingredients that will repair skin and protect it against environmental damage.
1. Resolves Hyperpigmentation
Viola’s Vitamin C Serum contains an organic herbal infusion made up of hamamelis virginiana leaf/ stem extract which contains healing tannin. Tannin is an astringent that actually tones and heals your skin. Combined with vitamin C, this can brighten hyperpigmentation and create a wonderfully even skin tone.
2. Restores Dry Skin
This serum contains aloe extract which is brilliant for dry, damaged or broken skin. It also contains the seeds of a sub-tropical shrub - simmonsida chinesis. This is a unique liquid wax with fabulous skin-conditioning capabilities.
3. Protects Against Pollutants
Viola Vitamin C Serum has triple antioxidant action! Vitamin C is an antioxidant, combined with tocopheryl acetate which is a form of vitamin E and simminsida chinesis which is a third antioxidant, this product sure protects against free radical and pollutant damage. Simply put, antioxidants stop pollutants from reacting with your skin.
4. Brightens Your Skin
Vitamin C has a seriously brightening effect. If you have dull skin, vitamin C can revive your skin’s glow. The specific type of vitamin C that Viola Skin use is called ‘sodium ascorbyl phosphate’ and it’s known to also calm acne as well as restoring a healthy glow.
Viola Skin also contains something called ‘dimethyl sulfone’ which is an ingredient sometimes known as MSM. MSM can help rosacea, improving skin colour, it actually alters your skin’s melanin production making skin lighter.
5. Plumps and Hydrates
Viola’s Vitamin C Serum contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin which can both lock moisture into skin, making it plump and full.
6. Prevents Wrinkles
Viola’s Vitamin C Serum contains proline which is an amino acid involved in the body’s production of collagen and cartilage. It has the ability to strengthen and renew ageing skin cells which results is firmer skin with fewer wrinkles. Also, MSM has further ability to enhance collagen levels in skin which will result in smooth skin with softer fine lines and wrinkles.
Can be applied twice daily (morning and night). However, we recommend using the product once per day to begin with, working your way up to twice per day.
All of these ingredients work together to transform your healthy skin…

Yes, it would be the perfect base for makeup.
We wouldn’t recommend such strong ingredients during pregnancy.
Dermalogica’s Biolumin C Serum is an exceptional product with ultra-stable vitamin C complex. It delivers impressive results within 5 days, for brightness and plump skin. That said, because Biolumin C is such a high end product, it is pricier. Viola Vitamin C Serum is just £14.50, whereas Biolumin C Serum is £81.50 - so your choice may depend on both affordability and level of results. You will of course see results with Viola Skin Vitamin C Serum but these will not be as pronounced or happen as quickly as if using Biolumin C.
It's not an eye cream and caution should always be used when applying any products around the eye area. Viola do a great eye serum that is great for the eye area.
