Oily skin is the result of overactive sebaceous glands, producing more oil than you need which then sits on top of your skin and can cause acne breakouts, getting into enlarged pores clogging them up. Lots of things cause oily skin – genetics, stress in your life, hormone changes such as pregnancy or menopause, even using the skin products that don’t suit your skin, all can cause excess oil production.
